Does this include furniture?

Hi! It doesn't, but thanks for the idea! I'll make furniture peaces today and update this asset pack!

That's fire, so should I buy this tomorrow then?

Anytime you like! I might increase the price with the next update today, but not certain. If you have in mind what furniture peaces would be cool to have in this asset pack, please let me know! I'm already gathering reference photos for the models :)

You can also check out the PSX Tunnels Kit. I'll be adding even cooler stuff to it today, already finished working on the update!

Sure I'll check it out, I love the dark and eerie feel of your assets

Thank you! I hope it will inspire you guys with some game ideas!

Hey, sorry to bother again! I've been developing a game with these assets and just wanted to show you. How can I contact you?

Hi! You can send me an email to dovydasvar@gmail.com

Can't wait to see it!

Wow, I love your art style!!!

Hi there! Thank you, chocolate_maned_wolf, I appreciate you! :)

Hey I used a fair few of these assets in my game called “The Bunker” on steam! >  https://store.steampowered.com/app/2829480/The_Bunker/

Hi there! Your game looks fun, I have purchased it to play it in the following days and I'll absolutely leave a review. I wish you best of luck and I really appreciate you for supporting me too. Take care!

Hi there again. I recommend to update the meshes of my assets in your game to the ones from the most recent version! The normals were messed up for some objects in the version that you used :)

Amazing how much this asset pack improved since I bought it a year ago!

Also, have you considered maybe giving a .txt or .docx file about tips on how to create additional models that are cohesive with these ones? I’m specifically mostly interested in how you do shading on the texture itself (and there seems to be some noise over it?), but I figure others might be curious about such details aswell!

Keep it up mate c:

Thank you very much! I remember you, you were one of the first supporters of this asset pack, I appreciate you!

I think that idea would not be helpful to me as an asset creator, sadly...

I get it, no pressure - you are already doing amazing stuff for us :)

Hey I just bought this asset pack. Looks great and will be using it in my game. Just wanted to say great work!

Thank you very much, Cliff! I hope to see what you'll create with it! Have fun!

Hey, nice asset pack.

I noticed on import to Unreal that you are using multiple material slots for items.

Is there a reason you use this method instead of baking textures onto a single map?

Given the low poly nature of the assets I imagine for a lot of use cases the extra draw calls won't be a major issue.

However, it would help to reduce overhead in game-engines if there were fewer material slots being used.

I will test out a few scenes using your default texture set up and try to determine how big the performance hit is due to extra draw calls.

Just food for thought!

Overall I like the content and style of the pack and it should prove helpful when blocking out and performing first passes on levels!

Thanks for sharing a cool asset pack!

Hi! Thank you!

I should have done it already as I'm aware of that, but I did not get to do it, I needed a kick in the ass. I promise to do get it done for the v2.5 update!

Any Tips for Importing it to unreal? I only get white materials.

Hi! It must have something to do with the import settings. I'm not familiar with Unreal Engine. Please let me know how it goes

Hey, when importing to Unreal - the materials are likely creating a standard material with a single image map connected in the shader graph.

For each object/asset - if you double click on the material slots as there are multiple slots per item(this is where it becomes a bit time-consuming):

1. Use the editor button to find the linked material.
2. Double-click that material in the content editor to open the material shader graph.
3. Manually set up each material to use the corresponding texture maps.
4. Connect any relevant texture maps to the required output nodes on the material shader.

I am replying from memory and it has been a while since I used these assets, but if that does not help please post again or contact me on discord and I will see if I can help you further.

Yo it looks awesome. I think it miss some furniture like bed, desk, chair. But awesome work!

Thank you! I'll add some furniture for the version 2.5 update :)

Hi there! I have made the source file available :)

Adding a Unity Package for easy import and upgrading would be amazing!

Great idea! Will do it for the next update. I'm working on loads of new stuff to add to it :)

Great pack nice update bud

Thank you Djackz!

First of all I absolutely LOVE this pack. Thank you for making it.
What would be the best compression method for the textures in Unity?

(1 edit)

Hi there! No, thank you very much for purchasing it!

About the compression: I'm not sure about this, I only recommend using "point (no filter)" for the textures :)

One of the best asset packs out there!
This is literally super helpful, very user friendly and the weekly updates are just amazing. By just purchasing the package once I was able to create great collection and with that hopefully I will be able to make some decent projects/games.
Highly recommended! Best to you Pizza Doggy!

A million thank you, Niven! It's good to see you back here again!

Definitely will be picking up your bundle! You're making great asset's!! Loving the Ps1 /PSX style! Keep up the good work!

It makes my day to see people liking the stuff I've created. Thank you very much!

Brought this a couple months ago, used it in a prototype and forgot about it. Came back to download it again for another prototype and see all these improvements. Well done, this looks like a totally different asset than the one I brought haha. Definitely gonna use this now!

I'm super happy to hear that! Come back soon, I'll be adding more stuff! :) And also thank you very much for supporting this asset pack in early development, this keeps me motivated to spend more hours working on it and adding new stuff. Also it's especially good for you guys too, because you'll get tons of extra assets in it for no extra costs. Have a good day!

This is really beyond amazing, for the price it would be hard to beat this. So much for so little!

Cheers!

I'm so greatful for your feedback! There's nothing that makes me happier than people being excited about the stuff I create. Have a good day, stranger!

You know what would be neat? A retro recreation of the shed from the Evil Dead 2.

…groovy.

I've been looking at pictures of it. It would be super cool. I'll keep this cool idea in mind! Thank you!

My pleasure and thank you. I'm looking forward to it. You're the man for the job.

This is amazing value tysm

Thank you for purchasing it and showing me support! :) I will be so happy to see it in your projects

Hello,

This is a really good asset pack and I'd like to add it to my collection. But I try to use only Creative Commons or otherwise freely license assets.

"This asset pack can be used for any commercial and non-commercial projects and you may modify it in any way you choose."

This sounds great.

"This asset pack cannot be resold/redistributed, even if modified."

I have no plans (nor would I) of selling your assets, although I have a friend who is helping me make the game, and having the ability to redistribute the assets with him would be essential.

Could you consider a CC BY license?

Hi Bkeys. You can share it with your friend, it's not a big deal. I would be delighted to see the project you're working on :)

Here are a few screenshots, this is actually inside the game and not Blender. its' gonna be a zombie shooter. These assets are arranged by me but were from other itch.io creators who listed assets are CC BY.
My goal is to make a game that's completely open source assets included; I'm not trying to make money I do it for the love of it.

I like this dark and depresive look!

Thanks, hopefully you'll consider the license issue. I'd love to buy this pack even at full price for that.

I have already tweaked the terms of use. Private sharing with the dev team or friends is allowed :)

Just bought it, looks awesome!  Great job :D . I'm gonna use it in my new retro fps game, i'll send you the link when it's done.

"5 people from who bought this asset pack during my birthday sale and 2 from the ones who's gonna buy it from September 8th to September 22nd, will get free download keys to my new upcoming Retro Style Sci-fi Asset Pack, that I plan to release on the 5th of October :)"

So, did I get a free download to your new asset pack ? :)

(1 edit)

Hi. Thank you! I'm excited :)

I'll pick 5 (+ 2) people randomly by using random number generation :) Take care!

I just bought this pack and everything is amazing! I can't wait to see what you make next!

I'm very happy that you're satisfied. I can't wait till I'll see what my fellow game devs will create with it! :)

Please let me know if there's something you'd like to be added into this asset pack :)

One of the most user friendly asset packs available on the market!
I usually tend to wait for the sales and then grab whatever I get, but this was a gold mine! The assets are superb! The textures are aligned perfectly, the size, everything works in this. Hope you can make more assets like this, because I will be ready to purchase, if I manage to spent that much.
Best of luck!

Hi Niven, I'm so happy that you liked it and very grateful that you took your time to write all this. You have made my day! I'll create more assets very soon! Stay cool :)

Great talent should always be celebrated 👏
I do wonder what can you do with science fiction genre, you know. It is very uncommon to see PSX style games like that, but I bet it will draw attention. Good luck once again!

Please add modular stairs and an elevator!

Great idea! Will be next on my list :-)
